Pop-up Cards and Father's Day

Here are some fun pop-up cards that we made here at the Farmhouse.

(inside of card)

(inside of card - love the tissue box!)

These cards were embellished with these fabrics.

We also used these dies on the cards.

The stamped message on the insides of the cards came from these sets.

Here is a Z-fold card made with the same fabrics.

Sylvia made this matching zippered bag large enough to hold four A-2 cards.

Father's Day will be here before you know it!
Rachel made these cards for the occasion.

She also made this birthday card with the same fabrics.

(insides of cards)

She used these fabrics to embellish the cards.

The messages for the Father's Day cards came from this stamp set.

Summer has arrived!  Enjoy!

Hello?

Rachel made these cute note cards.  They were simple to make.

She used these two fabrics.

The word "hello" came from this die.

Here are post-it note holders that Rachel made as well.

With a magnet on the back, they work great on refrigerators,
filing cabinets, school lockers, etc.
They make nice simple little gifts.

This is the die that was used to create this holder.

She used this fabric to embellish the holders.

For the topper of the packaging she used these dies.

She also created these mini note cards from this fabric and these dies.

She has the note cards available in packs of four with a drawstring bag to match.
This is another nice little gift to give to someone.

The words came from this very versatile stamp set.

Wishing you joy!

Look at these cute cards Rachel made with yet another new line of fabric.

(inside of card)

(insides of cards)

It is called "Mary's Fairies."

You can also use it to create gifts.
Rachel decorated these folders with this fabric.

She decorated this gift bag with it as well.

The larger pictures for the gift creations came from this panel.

There are five pictures on each panel.

Keep on creating!

Let's Get Inky

In our last post we stated that we added another class to the schedule.
Here are samples similar to what we will be making in the class.

We have two Let's Get Inky Classes scheduled in June.
In this class, you will learn to make a card background with distressing ink and cling stamps from Penny Black to achieve the look of a watercolor painting.  The stamp platform from Tim Holtz makes it so easy.  (We sell these stamp platforms here at the Farmhouse.)  Participants of this class will make and take home two lilac cards similar to the ones above.  The cost of the class includes the Penny Black lilac cling stamp (valued at $13.49) and supplies to make two cards.
Wednesday, June 20, or Friday, June 22,
9:30 am - 11:30 am
The cost of this class is $25.00 per person
Give us a call if you are interested in participating in this
or any of the other classes we have this summer.

Tractor Cards and Club

My elderly father was a farmer all his life.  He particularly loved Farmall tractors.
Having been raised on a farm with red tractors, this fabric caught my eye!

My father is also a man of faith.  At his age, he feels like he can't do much anymore.
"But," he said, "I can pray for others."
When I saw this fabric, I thought of making note cards for him.

They were simple to make and did not take long to create.

(inside of cards)

How meaningful to receive a note card like this from a farmer who loved tractors
saying that he prayed for you today.

Rachel made a box to hold four cards and envelopes to give as a gift.

This is another fabric from the same line.

I made this larger card from this fabric.

(inside of card)

Last week was Card-Making-With-Fabric Club again.
Dora was our hostess.  She created this card for the ladies to make.

When you pull on the tab, the flaps pull apart to reveal what is underneath.

She used these fabrics to create this card.

She also used this corner die cut for the front of the card.

Don't forget to stop by this week for our sale here at the Farmhouse!
(It ends Saturday at 1:00 pm.)
