Quilling Projects

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you're all staying cool these days!

Here are some quilling projects Nancy Salzman made in the quilling class a few weeks ago.

This is an A2 card:

These are about 3" circle magnets- are they not adorable!?

They even made a window box for the magnets!

If the quilling technique intrigues you sign up for our quilling play date Friday, August 26th from 9am-4pm. The cost for the class is $18. Come learn a few tips & tricks from Nancy Salzman; we'd love to have you!

Christmas & Summer Cards

Is anyone thinking Christmas in July???

Here are a few things Rachel did with Christmas fabric. It's not too early to start preparing your own Christmas cards! Now can be a great time to start before the busy holiday season and while there is a wide selection of fabrics to choose from!

Outside of cards:

this is the fabric used on the above cards:

Rachel also created a card and bag with these Christmas fabrics and die set:

Maybe thinking of Christmas for you is rushing things just a bit. Here are some gorgeous summer cards made at the store recently:

The cards were made using this paper and fabric:

Regardless of the season, hopefully you were inspired to create something this week!

Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is up on the blog today!
The fabric is conveniently laid out in hexagons...

....and the hexagon die set works PERFECTLY with this fabric!

Here are the two cards Rachel created:

The little embellishments come from this pack:

For those of you who enjoy animals (especially farm animals!) this new fabric is for you!

Blue Lady & Pheasant Cards

Fabric club meets the first Wednesday of every month here at the store. Here is what going on yesterday at club...

All the credit goes to Tricia Casill for the blue lady cards!

The blue lady fabric is a Loralie design, of course. We carry several different Loralie lines right now including Up & Away, Sweetie, Happy Cats, and more!

Rachel is an expert at using images others would consider "too large for a card".
She used this pheasant fabric...

...and placed it in the window of this card!

Again, she used the above fabric as the background image for the card at left.
The pheasants were cut out of above fabric and fabric at right.

How do you use "large images" on cards? Stop by or send us an email to show us how. We'd love to hear from you!

Enjoy your day!
