Back-to-School & Loralie

Can you believe tomorrow is August 1st already?!
Back-to-School is right around the corner!
Rachel made this card with that in mind.

(inside of card)

The backpacks came from this fabric.

Notice how she cut the flap off of the backpack and made it hinge on the card.

She also used this paper that we have at the Farmhouse.
(These are the two sides of one paper.)

This panel of fabric is called "Sweet Loralie."

Rachel also created these two cards using this panel.

Notice all the candy surrounding her - which is why she is called "sweet."
These two fabrics were used as well.

May your day be sweet, too!

Butterflies & German Shepherds

Here are some cheery simple cards that Rachel made with butterflies.

(insides of cards)

She cut the butterflies from this fabric.

The oval on the front of the cards are a die cut,
and Rachel's mother crocheted around the edges of it.
We sell these at the Farmhouse.

"You don't even have to like dogs to like these cards,"
said Rachel after making them.

(A2 card)

The dogs came from this fabric ...

... and she embellished them with holly and berries.
The neat thing with these dogs is that you can embellish them with items
from any season of the year, and it will look neat.  Pumpkins and leaves for the fall,
evergreens for winter, spring flowers, etc.

Keep creating!

Added Classes

We are adding two classes to our summer class schedule.
The first class is a repeat of an earlier class.

Class #1:  The Twist Pop-Up Card Class is being offered again for
Thursday, August 15, at 9:30 am.

This is the card that the class participants will be making in the class.

Class #2:  Shirley's Color Layering Class is scheduled for
Wednesday, August 28, at 9:30 am.
In this class, participants will be learning how to blend distressing inks
to create these beautiful background sceneries.

These cards are the ones that will be made in this class,
and these are the stamps/dies that were used.

Give us a call if you are interested in participating in either of these classes!

Stay cool! It's a warm one today!

Motorcycles and Strawberries

Do you like motorcycles or have a friend who does?
Here are some things that Rachel made involving motorcycles.

Look how neat this gift bag is to match!

Don't miss the little hand-made gift tag!

These cards came from these fabrics.

(This one is a panel)

I know this embossing folder is hard to see, but it is the one she used
to create the tire markings on the A7 card background..

If you're not into motorcycles, how about strawberries?

I created this card recently using these two fabrics.
The one is completely covered with strawberries.
And the other one is full of fun borders.

It's good to be back again!
I was off for a month preparing for my oldest daughter's wedding.
We had the reception in the meadow on our farm under a tent.
It was beautiful.
It was a LOT of work,
but it was worth it!

Thanks to Cecelia who covered for me and did a great job!

P.S. Just a reminder that we are pre-selling the Buggies-and-Buds passports!

July Fabric Card Club

This months club was hosted by Lu Donely,
 She used this fabric...

...and made this beautiful corner pop up card:

that then folds up into this cute little square

this is what it looks like laying flat:

She incorporated this glittered paper
 for the swirly flourishes

cut out with this die:

 Happy 4th of July!!

Our second card was made by Rachel. The next 3 cards are scented!
How would you feel to receive one of these cards with perfume bottles
 and actually smell the scent!?
