Don't Poke the Bear!

My husband came home from the PA Keystone Farm Show in York, PA
with a nice "freebie" bag (a bag given to him).  There was only one problem.
Neither of us wanted to use it with the advertisements that were boldly showing on either side of it.
I decided to cover the advertisements with fabric.

I used Stitch Witchery to attach the fabric to the bag.
You simply cut stitch witchery the same size as the fabric that you want to attach
and place it between the fabric and object that you want to cover.
Then, using a hot iron, iron it onto your object.
It was very simple.

The images came from this panel of fabric.

These fabrics are from the same line and make cute cards.

I made these cards from them this morning.

(A7 card)

(A2 cards)

(insides of A2 cards)

Rachel made these cards.

She used this fabric.

This fabric also coordinates with it.

Happy crafting!

Valentines & Yo-Yo's

I know it's not the normal Wednesday for card-making club,
but due to other circumstances, we met today.
Cheryl (not me) was our hostess, and she had the club make a cute pocket card.

She used this fabric to embellish her card.

She used these quilt dies on the front of her card.
There is so much that you can do with these dies!

Her sentiments came from this stamp set.

Rachel created a card with yo-yo's for club today.

Each person traced a circle onto their choice of fabric color and cut it out.
They made a running-stitch around the edge of the circle,
and pulled the thread to create the gathered look.

She used this die for the leaves, and the stamp for the one card.

We have new (for the Farmhouse) stamp-and-die-sets.
All the sentiments are on one stamp, and you use the die
to perfectly cut out the sentiments!
The die is easy to line up over top of the stamped image.

She used a sentiment from this set on the front of the one card.

She made these cards with yo-yo's as well.

Here is another stamp-and-die set.  She used the sentiment "Choose Joy"
for the front of the blue card above.

Happy Wednesday!

Celery Class

We want to point out the class scheduled for
Thursday, January 23, at 9:30 am.
It is called Stamping with Celery.

This is the card that we will be making in the class.
It is a pocket card.

You will never look at a stalk of celery the same way again.

Give us a call here at the Farmhouse if you are
interested in participating in the class.

Happy New Year!

Here we are - starting a new year!  Happy New Year to you!
That means that Valentine's Day is not far away.
Here are some cards Rachel made for the occasion.

 This is a A7 card.

(inside of card)

This is an A2 card.

(insides of cards)

The images came from these fabrics.

This one comes as a panel.

 She used these scrap-booking papers.
They are one-sided papers.

This is the die that she used on the A7 and first A2 cards.

She also used this die on the other two cards.

The stamped words came from this set.

Keep creating!
May your eyes be opened to the
hidden blessings in this new year!
