Cardinals & String Lights

Rachel has been working with these fabrics recently.

She created different items with them.
A card ...

(I'm not sure if you can see on the picture that she added glitter to the light bulbs)

... mini cards,

... a drawstring bag to hold a pack of 4 mini cards,

... a cup cozy,

... and mug mats.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
Don't forget that we are closed this Thursday and Friday,
and our Christmas sale starts Saturday!

Grateful people are happy people;
so find something to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Stamping, Cutting & Stenciling

Rachel made non-fabric cards recently.

(inside of card)

(inside of card)

She created these cards using these tools -
stamps, dies, and stencils.

I'm going to walk you through the details of how she created the cards.

For the flower on the front of the first card, she used the die to cut it out of red paper.

She stamped the center lines using this stamp.

(She also stamped and die-cut the leaves, and then stamped the veins to give them detail.)

Then she took the stencil ...

... and using glimmer paste and a spatula,

... she added the glittery dots to the center of the poinsettia.

(the dots that she used from the stencil)

For the ornament on the inside of the card, she cut it out with a die
and stamped the details (dotted lines) onto it with this stamp.

With the other ornaments that she stamped and cut, she used
the stencil and glimmer paste to decorate them.
There are so many options with these tools!

Back to fabric ...
Here is a card using fabric cats and holly.

(inside of card)

The cats came from this panel.

Here is an idea to think about while doing your Christmas shopping this year.
We offer gift cards and card (and scrapbooking) kits for the crafting friends/family!
We also offer a variety of ready-made cards for when you need a card for a specific occasion.

Card-Making With Fabric Class

If you have never made a card with fabric,
you might be interested in the class that we are offering this Saturday.
It's called Card-Making With Fabric.
Participants will be making (and taking) two cards using fabric images.
Here is one of the cards that they will be making.

The poinsettias came from this fabric.

This is the background paper that she used.
(The picture is showing you both sides of the paper.)

She used these word dies ...

... and cut the words out of glitter paper.

This is the other card that they will be making in the class.

It can hold a gift card in the pocket.
These poinsettias came from this fabric.

She used these dies on the front of the card.

The word die was cut out of mirror paper.
She used the frame die and chalked the edge of it with a gray color.

We still have openings for this class.
It is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, at 9:30 am.
Call us by Thursday evening (we close at 8:00 pm)
if you are interested in participating.

Have a great rest of the week!

November Fabric Club

Our once-a-month Card-making with Fabric Club meeting was today.
Dora was our hostess and she created this cute fall card.

She used images from this fabric to decorate her card.

Karina joined us for part of today and she created this neat card from the same fabric.

Unfortunately, it's hard to see, but she raised some of the images
on the card adding to the character of it.

Rachel also created a card for the Club ladies.

Instead of opening up like a regular card, this one has a pocket
to hold your greeting and a gift card.

Rachel used a small decorative paper bag and these dies in making this card.
We used the larger die set in our Shop Hop Make-N-Take.

The images used on the card came from this fabric.

If you're a part of Facebook, hop over to see some of our newest fabric
and also the winner of the Shop Hop drawing!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
