Holidays

Rachel made this Thanksgiving card after lunch today.

(inside of card)

She made the background of the card from scraps of paper
leftover from our Shop Hop Make-&-Take.
She then ran it through an embossing folder.

The fabric images came from this fabric.

Rachel taught a class last week called Cards-In-A-Box.
They made a box to hold 4 cards and envelopes to give as a gift.

(inside of box)

Here are the 4 cards.

(the insides of the cards)

They used this fabric to create the box and the cards.

And one last card to show you ...
Rachel also made this cute wintry card.

(inside of card)

She used this fabric.

She also used this die to create the wording on the front of the card.

Blessings on your day!

Closing

Please note:
The Farmhouse will be closed Friday morning only
October 25, for the funeral of Rachel's uncle.
We will open at 12:30 on Friday.

The Cat's Meow

Isn't this the cat's meow for the cat-loving card-maker?

Check out those eyes!
Rachel used crystal glaze to create that look.

The cat face came from this fabric panel.

You could use the crystal glaze on dog's eyes, too.
You could also use it on scenery where there's water.
Or make a vase look like glass.  Use your imagination!

(inside of card)

She used this set of stamps.

Here is another cat panel that we have at the Farmhouse
that you could add the glaze to as well.

We have a lot of cat and dog items at the Farmhouse.
Here are some dies that came in our latest shipment.

For those of you who enjoy making cards but not working with the fabric,
this is an option for you.

Each of these kits make 3 cards.  You provide the card base and background
and then layer the pictures (that punch out) on top of each other with pop dots
(or mounting tape) to give dimension to the picture.
We have a lot of these types of kits (flowers, seasonal, etc.) at the Farmhouse.

Rachel taught a private card-making with fabric class recently.
(If you and your friends want to have your own personal class,
give Rachel a call to schedule one.)
This is one of the cards that she had the ladies make in the class.

The trees came from this fabric.

She used these ovals for the front of the card.

It's a beautiful fall day in our corner of the world!

We hope your day is blessed!

Shirley's Stencil Class

We are offering a Stencil Class here at the Farmhouse.
Shirley will be our teacher, and this is what the participants will be making in the class.

The card background was made with distressing inks and a stencil.
Here is the stencil that she used.

The participants will also be making a card with glimmer paste and stencils.
This is what the background will look like.

This is the stencil that she used to make the two backgrounds above.

This class is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 9:30 am.
We still have some openings left.  Give us a call if you are interested in participating!

Today was fabric club day.
The ladies posed with their beautiful cards that Adina showed them how to make.

They have a lot of fun together!

Rachel took this fabric ...

...  and created this card for the club ladies to make.

(inside of card)

This is the paper that she used for the background of her card.
I'm showing you 2 pieces so that you can see each side of this double-sided paper.

Here are some other papers in that same beautiful line.

Enjoy your day!

Welcome, Autumn!

Shop Hop is officially over.
It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun!
We enjoyed meeting those of you who stopped by.

We've had a warm fall season so far, but today is finally bringing us
more fall-like weather and the leaves are starting to change.
Here are some autumn-cards that Rachel made recently.

(inside of one of the cards)

She used images from this fabric to create these cards.

She also used flowers from this fabric on the card.

The leaves on the inside of the card came from this fabric
that we also used for our make-&-take during Shop Hop.

This fabric is very versatile when it comes to making cards and scrap-booking.
There is such a variety of leaves to use!

Here is an autumn card with a unique fold that we made using a quilt and leaves.

(card when it is folded)

(card when it is opened)

Keep creating!

New Things

The shoppers have been shopping and we have been hopping!
And the shoppers have been hopping around to different shops during Shop Hop
(which is really what that term means).
Anyway, we were not able to update the blog last week.
We are sorry about that, but we are back today!
We want to show you some newer items that we have at the Farmhouse.

This is glimmer mousse.

Rachel used the mousse with this stencil ...

... and made this beautiful card background with them.

The die that she used came from this new line of dies that we have at the Farmhouse.
These are the dies that we have currently have in stock.

Here is another card using a different die.

(the two dies that she used on these cards.)

This next card is the same design as our fall make-&-take card for Shop Hop.
This one is christmas-y.

We used this die set for the shape of the flap.

This die was originally designed to create a mini-album
(we have a sample of one here at the Farmhouse).
But we used it to create a card instead.

She used these fabrics for this card.

Here are two more fabrics in the same line.

Rachel made this card with these fabrics.

Stay cool!  It's a hot one here today!
