Scrapbooking With Fabric

Last time I told you that we are working on scrapbook page layouts.
I know it's Christmastime, but here are some beach-page layouts
that we made recently.

Rachel used these fabrics to create this look.

And (of course) she made a matching card.

(inside of card)

The words came from this set of stamps.

Here is a two-page scrapbook layout.

The wording was created on the computer.
The flowers came from this fabric.

Rachel used the tonic studio die sets that we featured
during Shop Hop for the left page of the layout.

And, just as a side note, we are planning a class to make the mini-album
that this die set was intended to create.  Stay tuned for our class schedule.

Here is one more scrapbook page layout.

The lines in the water were created with an embossing folder and a white-colored pencil.
The images came from this fabric.

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Polar Babies & Bunnies

Four-fold cards are so neat!
Rachel made this one.

Isn't it so cute?!
The images and background came from these fabrics.

Here is an idea to dress up a gift card.

We call this a "pocket card."

A gift card fits very nicely in the "pocket" in the right side of the card.

On our last post, we featured a post-it note holder die.
Here is a pocket card and a post-it note holder featuring poinsettias.

They came from this fabric.

We're working on scrapbook page layouts here at the Farmhouse.
We hope to feature them on the blog in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned!

Holly

You can do so much at Christmas time with holly!
It's great to decorate with whether it's real or on fabric.
Rachel made these favors for the ladies at our
card-making club Christmas party today.

She used a die set to make it.

Here is the holly fabric that she used to decorate it.

She created this simple card and embellished it with the holly as well.

(inside of card)

Here is another card sporting the holly.

Be sure to enjoy the simple things of this Christmas season!

Cardinals & String Lights

Rachel has been working with these fabrics recently.

She created different items with them.
A card ...

(I'm not sure if you can see on the picture that she added glitter to the light bulbs)

... mini cards,

... a drawstring bag to hold a pack of 4 mini cards,

... a cup cozy,

... and mug mats.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
Don't forget that we are closed this Thursday and Friday,
and our Christmas sale starts Saturday!

Grateful people are happy people;
so find something to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Stamping, Cutting & Stenciling

Rachel made non-fabric cards recently.

(inside of card)

(inside of card)

She created these cards using these tools -
stamps, dies, and stencils.

I'm going to walk you through the details of how she created the cards.

For the flower on the front of the first card, she used the die to cut it out of red paper.

She stamped the center lines using this stamp.

(She also stamped and die-cut the leaves, and then stamped the veins to give them detail.)

Then she took the stencil ...

... and using glimmer paste and a spatula,

... she added the glittery dots to the center of the poinsettia.

(the dots that she used from the stencil)

For the ornament on the inside of the card, she cut it out with a die
and stamped the details (dotted lines) onto it with this stamp.

With the other ornaments that she stamped and cut, she used
the stencil and glimmer paste to decorate them.
There are so many options with these tools!

Back to fabric ...
Here is a card using fabric cats and holly.

(inside of card)

The cats came from this panel.

Here is an idea to think about while doing your Christmas shopping this year.
We offer gift cards and card (and scrapbooking) kits for the crafting friends/family!
We also offer a variety of ready-made cards for when you need a card for a specific occasion.
