Antiques & New Machine

"Mr. Rachel's" birthday was this past weekend.
He is 49-and-a-few-months. 😉
(maybe many months)
Anyway, he loves antiques and old signs.
This is the inspiration behind these cards that Rachel made.

(insides of cards)

The cards were created using these fabrics.

You may notice that the colors of these mechanical items seems brighter on the fabric,
Rachel chalked the items on the card to give them the "antique"-look.

She used these die-cuts on the front of the cards.

The words came from these two sets of stamps.

Here is another card made from these fabrics.

We have a new machine in the Farmhouse.
It is the Coutore Creations GoPress and Foil Machine.
It foils images/words onto card stock.

Here is a sample of a card that we made and the die
we used to foil the wording onto the card.

Stop by the Farmhouse to see how it works.

Rachel informed me today that it is exactly 8 months until Christmas.
Just thought you might like to know that.
(it may or may not have something to do with new Christmas fabric that just arrived.)

Beach Babies

Here is some cute beach baby fabric that we have at the Farmhouse.

Rachel made these cute cards from this fabric.

Here are some pictures of the insides of the cards.

If you notice from the picture of the fabric, some of the images overlap.
So, Rachel used burlap to cover those corners.
You could also use these cute little sandbuckets the same way.

She used these brads to embellish the cards as well.

The words came from these stamp sets.

We are looking forward to our
Scrapbooking with Fabric Class
next Wednesday, April 25.
This is a change in the original schedule.

Here is a sample of what we will be making.

We still have some openings in this class; so,
if you are interested in participating, give us a call!

Springtime

Yay!  Spring has finally reached our corner of the world!
Here are some cards that Rachel made with some new fabric.

(inside of cards)

These cards came from these fabrics.

She used oval dies and also this corner die-cut.

She stamped the cards with stamps from this set.

Today was Pot Pie Crop.
Ladies signed up to bring their crafting supplies and use our cropping room for the day.
Rachel's mother-in-law made Chicken Pot Pie
for lunch for the ladies that were here.
For those of you that are not familiar with Lancaster County Chicken Pot Pie,
it is a dish consisting of pasta dough made from scratch and cut into squares,
and cooked with bits of chicken (and sometimes bits of potatoes)
in a sauce of chicken broth.

It is very yummy!

Wood Floor

Today was Card-Making with Fabric Club again.
Rachel made these two cards for the ladies.

(insides of cards)

Here are some of the cards that the ladies made.
Each one has their own touch to them.

(inside of card)

These are most of the ladies from our club that get together once-a-month.

These are the fabrics that were used in this card.

We also used one of these quilting dies on the front of the card.

The basket was created from this stamp and die set (sold separately).

This Penny Black die set was used to create the "wood floor" look on the front of the card.

Enjoy your day!
