Blending Brushes & Stencils

Rachel has been playing with the
Taylored Expressions blending brushes.
They are incredibly soft brushes that you use with inks
and work wonderful with stencils to create beautiful backgrounds.

This is the set of brushes from Taylored Expressions.

She used these stencils on the cards.

This Make-Art station is very useful to create the stenciling.

She used this die set on the "world' card,

and this stamp and die set for the words on that card.

The animals on the second card came from this fabric.

Happy Friday!

Poppies & Hummingbirds

I do not sew.
Or so I said.
This stay-at-home order has had me checking out Pinterest.
I discovered a video tutorial to make a cosmetic bag.
I decided to try it because it didn't look very difficult.

I had always told Rachel she can have the sewing machine!
I'll take care of the computer stuff.
I learned that it's sewing clothing that I dislike.
This project was actually fun!
Wouldn't this make a nice gift for someone?

You can make the bag and 4 matching cards.
All you need is two fat quarters of fabric
(one for the outside of the bag and one for the lining),
fusible interfacing, a zipper (and a sewing machine, of course),

and you could make a bag and 4 matching cards to give as a gift.
You can find all these supplies (except for the sewing machine! 😉) at the Farmhouse.

Rachel made cards using these fabrics.

She also used this fabric on some cards.

She used these dies on some of the cards.

They add a delicate edging to the cards.

Here are the insides of the cards.

I love how adding fabric/color to the inside just gives it a pop.

So, have you discovered and/or created anything new
during this shutdown?
We'd love to see what you've created!

Dream Big

Here is a different fabric ....

... and it's coordinating companion.

They are called Dream Big.
There are many ways you could use these fabrics,
and here is one way.

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛

Here are some fall fabrics that arrived recently at the Farmhouse.

Wouldn't this look beautiful in the center of your table this fall?
You get two circles per panel.

Focus on the good things,
and keep creating!

Knit Chicks & Moose

Cheryl C made this cute card for us.

(inside of card)

She used these fabrics to embellish her card.

This fabric also coordinates with the two above.

She used these dies on her card as well.

Here is one more card made with this fabric.

(inside of card)

Rachel made these adorable (A7) moose cards.

(insides of cards)

Here is the fabric.

She used this stamp set for the fronts of the cards.

The words about reading were done on the computer.
We have those available to sell.

She used these papers on her cards as well.

They come from this line of paper products
called We Are Family by Photoplay.

Did you see the little corners on the front of the card
where the moose are reading?
They came from this die set.

Happy Monday!

Farm Animals

Here is another panel of larger images that Rachel played with.

By cutting and piecing the images, she was able to create these A7 cards.

(insides of cards)

The following pictures show you how she pieced the first card.

Here is an A2 card.

(inside of card)

She used this paper for background on the front of the cards.

Enjoy your day!
