Rachel’s sister Pauline Ramos passed away yesterday evening after a long battle with leukemia. Pauline was in & out here at the Farmhouse quite frequently and has helped us on busy days. She was an excellent card-maker and we’ve been lucky enough to have some of her beautiful cards here in the store as samples. Our hearts are breaking from this great loss, but we find comfort in knowing that she is now in Heaven with a brand new body that is free from all sickness. We ask that you pray for Pauline’s family and immediate family as we grieve the loss of a mother/sister/daughter/wife/aunt/grandma. 

For those of you wondering, we will still be open our normal store hours this week. Thanks for your prayers. -Janae

Layered Fall Cards

Good afternoon everyone!

Rachel recently made some beautiful fall cards with this fabric:

It's hard to tell on the picture but the images are layered and attached with mounting tape giving it a 3D look.

If you're looking for something a little extra special for your Thanksgiving/fall cards here are some fall embellishments we have available at the store. The ovals are hand crocheted by Rachel's mom and we used an assortment of fall fabrics to decorate the fronts. They look great on card fronts or scrapbook pages and provide a unique handmade touch.

Winter Snowmen Cards

Good afternoon!

Winter (and snow!) is just around the corner! Here are some fun projects we created with winter snowmen fabric:

These cards were made with the same die that was used with the hedgehog fabric a few posts back. Notice there are two different dies available: a horizontal & vertical layout. 

This is a wall hanging that Rachel did that's made to look like you're seeing out the window at the snowman:

These square window boxes measure about 1/2" high and 5 1/4" across. The top box shows a mug mat in the window and the bottom box is simply backed with fabric!

Barb Tanner taught the ladies how to make the center on the notepad (pictured above and below)...
